The Extended Look will also be released on Rockstar's YouTube channel after its six-hour Netflix exclusivity period.

While several GTA 6 details were leaked ahead of the official showcase, Rockstar still had plenty of surprises to reveal. The presentation provides a much deeper look at the game's world, characters, missions, and activities, suggesting that even this lengthy gameplay demonstration only scratches the surface of what players will be able to experience in Vice City. The Extended Look immediately gets things moving with Jason and Lucia attempting to collect a package for Boobie Ike from a drug den. Their plan quickly goes wrong when police raid the building, forcing the pair to fight their way through a maze of hallways while attempting to escape. The sequence also showcases the return of cinematic slow-motion camera angles reminiscent of Red Dead Redemption 2, with Jason triggering one during a particularly impressive shotgun headshot.

The presentation also highlights some of Vice City's stranger residents, including a social media personality who falls from a bridge as Jason and Lucia drive past and the hammer-wielding woman previously featured in the game's reveal trailer.

The showcase also provides a much better idea of how GTA 6's missions will work. One sequence sees Jason and Lucia acting as getaway drivers for Raul Bautista, a notorious bank robber whom the pair are attempting to build a relationship with. Another mission puts the protagonists in a very different situation, as they provide security for wealthy real estate mogul Andreas DeLeon during a party that comes under attack from would-be robbers.

While the sheer size of Vice City remains impressive, perhaps the most striking aspect of the Extended Look is the number of detailed interiors Rockstar has created. Apartments, businesses, parties, and other locations appear to offer far more depth than the largely decorative interiors found throughout previous installments. This could make the world feel substantially more immersive, particularly as players progress through the story and gain access to more locations.

The GTA 6 Extended Look ultimately reinforces just how ambitious Rockstar's latest project has become. From interactive environments and cinematic combat to a wide variety of side activities and elaborate missions, the sequel appears to be pushing the series' open-world formula further than ever before.
