Blizzard preparing Diablo 4 Nintendo Switch 2 port according to industry report!
Retail leaks point to a mid-September Switch 2 release for Blizzard's action RPG featuring a digital code-in-box format.

Blizzard Entertainment is reportedly preparing to release Diablo 4 on the Nintendo Switch 2 in mid-September, coming over three years after the action RPG's initial debut. According to industry reporter billbil-kun, the port is scheduled to launch on either September 15 or September 18 at a retail price of $69.99.

However, the reported physical release comes with a significant catch for buyers. Rather than shipping on a physical Game Card or a Game-Key Card, boxed retail copies will reportedly feature a digital download code inside a box. As a result, physical purchases cannot be resold or traded once the code is redeemed. Additionally, it remains unconfirmed whether the launch package includes the Lord of Hatred expansion or covers only the base game.

An official announcement is expected later this month, with potential reveals tied to Gamescom 2026 or BlizzCon 2026. The leak coincides with ongoing updates to Diablo 4's Season of Death Awakened, where Blizzard recently patched the Mythic Uniques 3.0 upgrade system to remove randomized stat rerolls during Horadric Cube conversions.
