PlayStation is celebrating the launch of Marvel’s Wolverine with a new limited-edition PS5 bundle and a collection of themed accessories arriving alongside Insomniac Games’ highly anticipated superhero title.

The centerpiece is the PlayStation 5 Digital Edition, Marvel’s Wolverine Battle Yellow Limited Edition Bundle, priced at $649.99 and launching on September 15, the same day as Marvel’s Wolverine. The console features a distinctive yellow-and-black design inspired by Wolverine’s iconic costume, complete with claw marks and an image of Logan.The bundle also includes a matching DualSense Wireless Controller featuring the same Battle Yellow color scheme and claw-mark detailing, as well as a digital copy of Marvel’s Wolverine.

Players who already own a PS5 will have several other options. PlayStation is releasing a Battle Yellow Limited Edition DualSense controller for $84.99, while PS5 console covers will be available for $74.99 in both Battle Yellow and Adamantium Silver designs.

PS5 Pro owners aren't being left out either. A Marvel’s Wolverine Adamantium Limited Edition console cover will also sell for $74.99, while an Adamantium Silver DualSense controller will be available exclusively through PlayStation Direct for $84.99.

The designs lean heavily into Wolverine's visual identity. The console covers feature prominent claw marks that expose portions of the system underneath, creating an effect reminiscent of comic-book artwork. The Battle Yellow versions are available for PS5 models with or without a disc drive, giving owners of either version a way to customize their consoles.

The accessories have already generated positive reactions from fans, which isn't particularly surprising given the popularity of Insomniac's previous Marvel projects. The studio established a successful Marvel universe through its Spider-Man games, and Marvel’s Wolverine will expand that universe with a much darker and more violent take on the superhero genre.

Wolverine won't be alone, either. Characters including Jean Grey are confirmed to appear, potentially opening the door for even bigger X-Men stories in the future.

For now, however, Marvel’s Wolverine appears to be staying firmly tied to PlayStation 5. Unlike several recent PlayStation titles that eventually made their way to PC, the game is currently positioned as a genuine PS5 exclusive.

That exclusivity could make the game an important system seller for Sony, particularly with the flashy limited-edition hardware arriving at the same time. With Grand Theft Auto 6 also scheduled for November 19, PlayStation has some major releases lined up for the second half of 2026.
