Atlus and Sega have released a new trailer for Persona 4 Revival, giving fans a closer look at some of the features and changes coming to the remake. While players familiar with more recent Persona titles may recognize some of these additions, seeing them reworked for Persona 4 is still exciting, especially for fans who have been waiting to return to Inaba.

Persona 4 Revival is scheduled to launch on February 18, 2027, putting it among the first major releases of the year. February is already shaping up to be a busy month for games, with several titles originally expected in 2026 now moving into early 2027. However, Persona has built a strong following over the years, and its launch as a day-one Xbox Game Pass title should give the remake plenty of attention.

One of the biggest additions is the introduction of newly recorded, fully voiced events throughout Inaba. These scenes are intended to make everyday life in the town feel more immersive while giving the game's story and characters more room to develop. The remake will also expand the relationships between characters through new Social Link events.Music is also receiving an update. Atlus composer Riyota Kosaka has created new music specifically for Persona 4 Revival, while existing tracks from the original game have been remixed. Singer Shiori Sasaki will provide vocals for the new material.
Some of the new features highlighted in the trailer include:

- Fully Voiced Events to make everyday life in Inaba more immersive

- Send Flying for dealing additional damage to Shadows

- New Music Compositions alongside remixed versions of classic tracks 

- Baton Pass for improved party coordination during combat

- Prime Time and Series Finale combat actions

One of the new mechanics is Send Flying. When a normal attack hits a Shadow affected by a status ailment, the enemy can be knocked into another Shadow. This deals additional damage while also spreading the status ailment to the second enemy. The mechanic only works when multiple Shadows are present, giving players another reason to think about enemy positioning during battles.

Baton Pass is another addition that should feel familiar to players who have spent time with newer Persona games. During a 1 MORE, players can pass control of their turn to another party member. This allows the team to better exploit enemy weaknesses and coordinate attacks.

The most powerful new combat feature appears to be Prime Time. Once its meter is filled, the party can enter a special sequence that allows them to perform a series of consecutive actions. Skills do not consume resources during the sequence, enemy resistances are ignored, and Baton Pass can be used freely.

The sequence eventually concludes with a powerful Series Finale attack. Together, these additions give Persona 4 Revival a more modern approach to combat while also expanding the game's story, music, and character interactions.

The remake still has plenty to prove, but the latest trailer suggests Atlus is looking to preserve what made the original memorable while bringing it closer to the standards established by the newer games in the series.

Whether all of these changes ultimately land with fans remains to be seen. The Persona franchise is more popular than ever, and the success of Persona 4 Revival could also influence expectations surrounding the long-awaited Persona 6. For now, Atlus and Sega are keeping much of the game under wraps, so there is still plenty left for fans to discover before its February 2027 release.
