The Biggest Patch Notes for Apex Legends Season 30 are Live
Apex Legends Season 30 introduces Bloodhound's major rework, revamped World's Edge, sweeping loot changes, and an ambitious overhaul of core gameplay.

Apex Legends Season 30 has officially arrived, introducing one of the game's biggest updates in recent memory. While the new season includes balance changes, quality-of-life improvements, and a revamped loot system, the headline additions are Bloodhound's massive rework and the overhaul of World's Edge.

World's Edge has long been one of Apex Legends' most popular maps, both in casual play and competitive tournaments. Rather than completely redesigning it, Respawn has focused on refining the experience by restoring fan-favorite POIs, improving rotations, and introducing a brand-new skybox tied to Bloodhound's evolving story.

Bloodhound, meanwhile, receives one of the most significant Legend updates in years. The Recon specialist's new Ultimate, Allfather's Cloak, allows Bloodhound to cloak both themselves and nearby teammates, opening the door for stealth ambushes and creative team plays. Combined with improvements to their Passive and Tactical abilities, the rework is expected to dramatically increase Bloodhound's popularity when Season 30 launches.

Apex Legends Season 30 Patch Highlights

World's Edge Gets a Major Refresh

Respawn has restored several classic locations while improving traversal and loot distribution across the map.

Key changes include:

- Sorting Factory returns with redesigned rotations and zipline access.
- The Tree has been replaced by Tree Settlement.
- Survey Camp has been replaced by War Camp.
- Fragment West regains its iconic construction building.
- Landslide has been merged with Big Maude.
- East Village receives additional cover, terrain improvements, and new ziplines.
- Numerous bug fixes, exploit removals, and navigation improvements.

To celebrate the update, World's Edge will receive increased map rotation during the opening week of the season.

Loot Progression Receives a Massive Overhaul

Season 30 dramatically changes how players gear up throughout a match. Respawn says the goal is to reduce loot inflation and make high-tier equipment feel rewarding again.

Some of the biggest changes include:

- Purple attachments are significantly rarer.
- Gold attachments and Gold Backpacks have been removed from the standard loot pool.
- Mythic and Gold loot bins have been removed.
- Hot Zones have been removed.
- Arsenals now activate later in matches instead of being available immediately.
- Wildlife, MRVNs, Vaults, Loot Rollers, and other special loot sources now provide lower-quality rewards overall.

Energy Weapons No Longer Use Ammo

One of Season 30's boldest gameplay changes completely removes Energy Ammo from the game.

Instead, Energy weapons now feature regenerating ammunition reserves. Every weapon carries its own stockpile that slowly replenishes over time, eliminating the need to carry Energy Ammo in players' inventories.

Respawn expects this to make Energy weapons especially powerful during shorter engagements while naturally limiting their effectiveness in prolonged fights.

Corrupted Attachments Introduced

Season 30 adds a brand-new attachment rarity called Corrupted Attachments.

Each attachment grants a powerful bonus alongside a meaningful drawback, forcing players to choose between raw power and weapon handling. Only one Corrupted Attachment can be equipped per weapon.

Five new variants debut this season:

- Overflowing Magazine
- Headseeker Barrel
- Tactical Laser
- Agile Standard Stock
- Rapid Sniper Stock

Bloodhound Receives a Complete Rework

Bloodhound is easily the biggest winner of Season 30.

The new Ultimate, Allfather's Cloak, deploys a device that cloaks nearby teammates while also granting increased movement speed and threat vision. Cloaking persists briefly after leaving the area but breaks when firing weapons or taking damage.

Other improvements include:

- Simplified tracking trails.
- Longer-range White Ravens.
- Improved Tactical scans.
- New upgrade paths focused on stealth and reconnaissance.

Legend Balance Changes

Several other Legends also receive adjustments:

- Loba gets faster bracelet deployment, increased bracelet range, and a shorter Ultimate cooldown.
- Rampart receives stronger walls, better mobility while using Sheila, and passive improvements.
- Valkyrie is toned down with weaker missiles and a lower Ultimate launch height.
- Axle sees additional nerfs to mobility and Ultimate effectiveness.
- Seer receives further reductions to Tactical crowd control.

Weapon Changes

Season 30 also shakes up the weapon meta.
Notable changes include:

- The 30-30 Repeater enters the Care Package with significant buffs.
- The G7 Scout returns to floor loot.
- The Alternator, R-99, RE-45, and Hemlok receive nerfs.
- Gold weapon rotations have been removed.
- A new Accelerator Hop-Up grants Ultimate charge after securing knocks.

Other New Features

Season 30 also introduces several quality-of-life improvements, including:

- A new weapon stats interface showing detailed weapon performance.
- Volunteer Jumpmaster, allowing players to opt in during Legend Select.
- Five-day Ranked Ladders.
- Numerous bug fixes and performance improvements.
- The free Battle Pass includes the Purrfect Pals weapon charm, created in memory of former Respawn developer Benjamin Sklar.

With sweeping gameplay changes, a revamped loot system, a refreshed World's Edge, and Bloodhound's biggest overhaul since launch, Season 30 is shaping up to be one of Apex Legends' most transformative updates yet.
