Game Freak's latest action RPG, Beast of Reincarnation, has officially launched on Xbox Game Pass for Ultimate and PC tier subscribers as a day-one release. Originally announced as Project Bloom under Private Division before transfer rights moved to indie publisher Fictions, the post-apocalyptic title is available across Xbox Series X and S, PC, and Xbox Cloud Gaming.

Early reviews place the title at a 76 OpenCritic rating across 46 reviews, with 63 percent of critics recommending the game. Reviewers praise its parry-focused combat, flashy art direction, memorable boss encounters, and the central bond between protagonist Emma and her canine companion, Koo. However, feedback also points to repetitive environments, uneven narrative execution, and minor technical issues with performance and collision detection.

Joining Beast of Reincarnation on August 4 is the dark-fantasy shooter bundle Heretic + Hexen, which expands to the Game Pass Premium tier after previously launching on Ultimate and PC tiers last year.

Looking ahead at the August schedule, subscribers can expect several more day-one titles throughout the month, including Sandustry in Game Preview on August 13, farming-horror RPG Grave Seasons on August 14, and narrative adventure Resonance: A Plague Tale Legacy on August 27. Microsoft is expected to reveal the remaining titles for the August Wave 1 lineup shortly.
