BRINGING BACK THE OLD DAYS

Timberborn was launched in 2021, delivering a rare feeling that deserves recognition, redefining the genre that changed how
city-building simulations is played compared to other games.
It brings players back to reality through beavers. All they can do is eat, chew on wood, and sleep. Make no mistake
; it is far from an ordinary game. Nowadays, more than 10,000 games are being developed by talented developers worldwide by offering players a wide variety of unique gaming experiences. As of now, Timberborn has definetely impacted the genre in a positive way.

Players will manage the beavers, where resources are extracted from the environment and are utilized to elevate themselves to grow in number. With a 24-hour cycle, players will reflect their progress as days pass in-game. Unlocking the full potential of each beaver is remarkable. However, maintaining their survival
is indeed difficult. Players will use beavers to bite down on trees to collect wood. This wood will then be used to build buildings, which will be useful in the future.
The civilization is often built around rivers that supply unlimited water and green lands.

The real challenge lies in the water itself, with more than one climate change. Besides that, plantation lands and hard rocks can be used to plant crops and collect water. With cute beavers and colourful scenery, the game looks easy until you end up restarting the whole game a couple of times before grasping
the science behind it, once acknowledged, the gameplay will be enjoyable, and smart initiatives will take place in Timberborn.

SHARPEN YOUR TEETH AND BRING BACK MORE WOOD

A choice must be made between Folktails and Iron Teeth, affecting the game’s population progress. Folktails are more likely to be population-oriented compared to Iron Teeth. Despite their numbers, their production is less efficient. The end goal is survival, whether it takes you 10 days or 1 month,

Imagine having the power to control everything.
At its core, it is a game about efficiency applied to
a group of beavers and managing their livelihood. Every beaver gets tired of chopping trees all day long. It needs to eat, drink, and sleep.
The core of this game is simple but demanding precision.

A combination of yellow teeth and wood that lay out the foundation of Timberborn. Use that to build yourself a colony through repetition that sets
the structure of what comes next.

It is calm before the storm when climate change. Planning before the storm must be done with precision, allowing your civilization to continue living and operating without hazard.

It is calm before the storm, with a sensitive climate that triggers different astrospheres. This does not change the game; it challenges the odds of survival to see if you can stay alive until the next cycle.

SAVE MORE WATER BEFORE IT EVAPORATES

In this section, you will understand why planning ahead of time can really make a difference when it comes to survival. Timberborn is meant to test your survival skills through environmental changes that occur from time to time. Early preparation is critical.

Beavers are known to be efficient workers with constant management. Failing to prepare their food on time can lead to starvation. Make sure to never run out of carrots or risk running out of beavers!
In simple terms, the game has unlimited supplies.

As time passes by, the drought season begins, where water will be limited, and crops will dry up,
and the food supply will shut down.

What is stored may or may not be sufficient for your beaver civilization. Thus, the survival rate is dependent on the number of beavers.

With a more controlled population and resources
can be used efficiently, and newborn kits can grow healthy and mature quickly.

On the other hand, a bad tide season can be more manageable than a drought season. Unlike the dry season, the contaminated water can still be used to supply power to the beavers using water wheel.

A Water Wheel can be placed in the river and can generate power. Both types of water can be used to generate electricity for beavers. A wind turbine is an alternative option to water, but less efficient.

This shows that the game provides endless ways to keep the beavers alive. Their survival is highly correlated with the types of season, the size of
the population, and food and water supplies.

ENGINEERING 101:HOW IT STARTED

Playing this game allows players to bring their visuals into reality through a city-building game. With renewable resources from trees and crops, players will face difficulty in terms of limited space.

Therefore, the game is designed to accommodate crazy ideas, as long as it makes sense. The size of the population is up to the players. Have more of them and build an empire of beaver’s kingdom.

Whether they aim for growth or consistency with
a controlled population. Both strategies can have
a positive or a negative impact on the beavers.

Do not make them work too much and always keep an eye on materials before you run out.

This is where your engineering capabilities are tested, for example, instead of building 3 storage facilities to store food beside each other.

Instead, it can be built vertically, as long as there is a pathway for the beavers. With plenty of room for creativity. How far will you take it?

The dynamic has changed; anything is possible as long as there is proper construction planning to adapt to your game plan.

Hence, skyscrapers can be built, making their home look futuristic, automating their travels using a lift, while houses can be allocated on higher ground.

Added to that, water can also be blocked by dams, and contaminated water can be redirected to be disposed of to save the plants from dying.

This shows that the sky is the limit when it comes to playing Timberborn. A game that is full of excitement and flexibility, with unlimited ideas.

Expansion is possible through building different districts to monitor the civilization more efficiently and allocate the resources between each district.

BUILDING SIMULATION GONE WRONG

In simple terms, this building simulation could go wrong very badly. Do not underestimate this game. You might think I am joking, but I am serious.

It took me 5 times before I figured out the survival part only. Failing your civilization means you failed the mission. Capitalize on your mistakes to elevate.

It is easy to run a small family as you will have more control over them compared to a big family.

The million-dollar question lies in your strategy. Will you choose slow momentum with a strong foundation rather than fast and hectic?

Only you can answer this, and your beavers will act upon it. The more you build, the more beavers you need to build and operate those facilities.

Therefore, do not repeat my mistake and have your beavers die because I overpushed them to the max.
