Multiple Silent Hill games are in development as per Konami!
Konami producer Motoi Okamoto confirms an annual release strategy for Silent Hill, utilizing simultaneous game development to rebuild long term franchise trust.
Over the past few years, Konami has executed a major revival of the Silent Hill franchise. Following the success of the Silent Hill 2 remake alongside forward looking projects like Silent Hill f and Townfall, the company has made it clear that running multiple developments simultaneously is a deliberate long term strategy.
In a recent media roundtable, Konami producer Motoi Okamoto explained that producing several titles at once was designed to prove to players that the publisher is fully committed to returning to core video game development.
The strategy aims to establish an annual release schedule for the series. By keeping a steady pipeline of new releases, Konami wants to show fans that the return of the franchise is a lasting effort rather than a short term effort.
The initiative follows nearly a decade of inactivity for the series after the cancellation of Silent Hills. If future entries maintain the quality of recent releases, the annual release plan offers a strong path forward for the survival horror franchise.
