The current seasonal event cycle, dubbed Forever Forward, began back on June 2 and introduced new Mega Evolution forms including Mega Raichu and Mega Mewtwo. With the next season scheduled to launch on September 8, Niantic has kept specific event details under wraps.

Schedules published earlier this summer confirmed future event dates without naming the featured creatures, leaving players to speculate on upcoming rotations. Datamining efforts shared by Reddit group The Silph Road suggest Zorua will highlight the Community Day on Saturday, October 10, running from 2:00 PM to 5:00 PM local time.

Questions remain regarding whether the event will feature standard Unovan Zorua, Hisuian Zorua, or a combination of both regional forms. Zorua utilizes a unique spawning mechanic in Pokemon GO, masking its appearance on the overworld map as the player's active Buddy Pokémon rather than appearing in its natural form.

Dual-form events previously hosted for species like Vulpix proved straightforward, but Zorua's shape-shifting mechanic could introduce technical complications if Hisuian forms are included. Additionally, the shiny variant for Hisuian Zorua has yet to make its official debut in the game.

Ahead of the leaked October gathering, a Community Day Classic event is scheduled for Saturday, September 12. These classic reruns allow players to catch previously featured species, secure legacy moves, and capitalize on past event bonuses.
