A new datamine for Marvel Tokon: Fighting Souls has seemingly revealed additional content that could be coming to the fighting game after launch, including a potential DLC fighter, classic costumes, and a Battle Pass.

The game launched following a successful open beta that generated significant excitement around Arc System Works' latest fighting title. Although the PC launch reportedly faced some technical issues, attention has quickly shifted toward the game's long term support and future roster additions.

Before launch, Phoenix and Cyclops were confirmed as the first post launch character addition, with three more fighters promised afterward. Since then, fans have speculated about which Marvel characters could eventually join the roster, with theories including Thor, Jane Foster, Agent Venom, and the Shalla Bal version of Silver Surfer.

The latest datamine may have provided another clue. New files reportedly contain a reference to Rocket Raccoon, alongside a note mentioning Kamala and Groot while warning that Rocket could be intended as future DLC.

The discovery does not confirm that Rocket Raccoon will become a playable character. Datamines can contain development material that may never be used, and content found in game files can remain there for years before being officially released.

Additional files reportedly reference Classic and Legacy costumes for several existing fighters. Hulk, Spider Man, Green Goblin, and Doctor Doom are among the characters mentioned in connection with these outfits.

The costumes could continue a trend established by the Ultimate Edition, which included classic versions of Iron Man and Captain America. Hulk could potentially receive his traditional appearance without the bone armor, while Spider Man may be given his familiar blue and red design.

The datamine also appears to reference some form of Battle Pass system. Although specific details have not been confirmed, the discovered files reportedly mention potential rewards including Avatar Equipment, costume tickets, stickers, and emotes.

A Battle Pass would not be unusual for the fighting game genre, and Arc System Works already has experience with the system through Guilty Gear Strive. The game's Season 5 update introduced its own Battle Pass, making a similar approach for Marvel Tokon possible.

However, the leaked information should be treated cautiously. Previous Arc System Works datamines have sometimes revealed content long before its eventual release, meaning the presence of a character in the files does not necessarily indicate that the fighter is coming soon.

Guilty Gear Strive provides a clear example. Jam Kuradoberi was discovered in the game's files years before she officially joined the roster during Season 5 alongside Robo Ky. As a result, even if Rocket Raccoon is planned for Marvel Tokon, the character could still be a long way from release.

For now, Arc System Works has officially confirmed only the announced post launch content, while the rest of the datamined material remains unverified.
