We can now play Tetramon in TCG Card Shop Simulator!
TCG Card Shop Simulator is finally turning its collectible cards into a full-fledged TCG when Tetramon Duel Master arrives this September.

TCG Card Shop Simulator is about to fulfill one of its biggest player requests, transforming the Tetramon cards players have been collecting into a fully playable trading card game.

OPNeon Games' indie hit has attracted more than 3.5 million players across Xbox Series X|S, Xbox Game Preview, and PC since launch. While running the store, ordering products, stocking shelves, opening booster packs, and building a collection have always been the core of the experience, players have long wanted a way to actually battle using their Tetramon.

That changes with Tetramon Duel Master, which will arrive as part of the game's 1.0 update on September 15, 2026.

Each duel begins with a 50-card deck, with players limited to four copies of any individual named card. Both players draw five cards to start, with one mulligan available if the opening hand isn't useful. The original five cards are placed at the bottom of the deck before five replacements are drawn.

Players also begin with 500 Tamer Points, which function as their health. The first player to reduce their opponent's Tamer Points to zero wins the match.

The battlefield is divided into several important zones. Four Elemental Areas—Fire, Earth, Water, and Wind—are where Tetramon are deployed and battle. Players also have a Deck, Discard Pile, and Guardian Area, the latter containing four cards placed face-down at the beginning of the duel.

The Guardian Area serves as a built-in comeback mechanic. Whenever a player's Tamer Points fall below certain thresholds—400, 300, 200, and 100—they immediately add the top Guardian card to their hand, potentially giving a player the resources needed to turn a losing battle around.

Each turn begins with a card draw before moving into the Main Phase, where players can deploy Tetramon and activate their abilities.

For example, Burpig, a Rare Fire-type that evolves from Pigni, can trigger a Play Effect that increases its own Elemental Power by 15 for the turn. These effects can become particularly important when combined with the elemental bonuses provided by the battlefield.

Evolution is another major part of the game's strategy. Evolution Cards must be placed directly on top of their corresponding Tetramon. Newly played Basic Tetramon need to wait a turn before evolving, but once that initial restriction has been satisfied, players can chain multiple evolutions during the same turn.

There is one important limitation: each Elemental Area can only receive one new Basic Tetramon per turn, and playing one replaces whatever was previously occupying that position.

Once players finish setting up their board, they can enter the Attack Phase. The first player doesn't get to attack on their opening turn, however, giving the second player a small defensive advantage.

Combat revolves around positioning as much as the cards themselves. A Tetramon's Attack Power is calculated using its own Elemental Power alongside the power of the Elemental Area where it is positioned. Choosing the right battlefield slot can therefore be just as important as choosing which Tetramon to play.

Tetramon Duel Master will also launch alongside new Tetramon cards, giving collectors additional cards to discover while expanding the strategic possibilities of their decks.

The addition represents a significant expansion of what TCG Card Shop Simulator can offer. What began as a game about managing a card store is now adding an entire card game that players can participate in themselves.

TCG Card Shop Simulator is currently available on Xbox Series X|S, Xbox Game Pass, Xbox Game Preview, and PC, with the full 1.0 release and Tetramon Duel Master scheduled for September 15, 2026.
