Fortnite is bringing back its popular The Simpsons collaboration with the return of Springfield in Fortnite Reload. The Simpsons mini season at the end of 2025 was widely praised by players thanks to its detailed recreation of Springfield, numerous references to the animated series, and appropriately chaotic gameplay.

Now, Epic Games is giving players another chance to visit the iconic town, with a revamped map and several new additions.

Even players who experienced The Simpsons mini season the first time around will have plenty of reasons to return to Springfield.

The new version of the map features a new POI called The Confidential, a bar that appeared in an episode of The Simpsons and serves as a parody of The Continental from the John Wick movies. With John Wick also appearing in the new Fortnite Reload content, the connection between the two franchises feels particularly fitting.

The Confidential also introduces some unusual rules for Fortnite players. While inside the location, players will receive passive healing and won't be allowed to attack other players. Proximity chat will also be available inside the bar, allowing players to interact with one another while temporarily putting the usual Fortnite chaos aside.

However, players who decide to ignore the rules will immediately become "excommunicado." Attacking another player inside The Confidential will put a large target on the offender, making them a priority for everyone else on the map.

To compensate, excommunicado players will receive unlimited stamina and faster reload speeds, giving them some advantages while they attempt to survive the attention they've attracted. Players who eliminate an excommunicado opponent will receive 1,500 gold and improved loot as a reward.

John Wick is also making an appearance in Fortnite Reload, although the iconic assassin has been given a Simpsons-inspired makeover. An NPC version of John Wick will be available on Starter Island, while players who own the Battle Pass can unlock a Simpsonified John Wick by completing Reload quests.

Players can also find a John Wick Sprite during matches. The miniature version of the character can be obtained by eliminating a player carrying it, winning a match, or finding one somewhere on the map. Despite its adorable appearance, the Sprite can be useful, as it can reveal nearby enemies for a short time after the player knocks down or eliminates an opponent.

The return of Springfield also brings back the loot from The Simpsons mini season. Players will once again be able to use items including Krusty's Mr. Blasty, Blinky Fish, Super Squishee, and other Simpsons-themed equipment that disappeared when the original Springfield map was removed.

The return of Springfield is particularly good news for players who considered The Simpsons mini season one of Fortnite's best collaborations in recent years. The original event combined a detailed version of Springfield with unique weapons, items, and references to the series, creating an experience that stood out from the game's usual seasonal content.

Players who missed the original Simpsons collaboration will also have another opportunity to experience Springfield for themselves. With the addition of The Confidential, John Wick, and the return of the original loot pool, Fortnite Reload looks set to give both returning players and newcomers plenty of reasons to revisit the map.

Springfield is currently the only map available in the Fortnite Reload rotation. It will remain available until August 3, when Elite Stronghold and Slurp Rush will join the rotation.
