Sucker Punch Productions has officially announced new premium content for Ghost of Yotei, including a story expansion and a new single player survival mode. Both additions will launch on October 1, 2026, alongside a new Complete Edition of the game.

Ghost of Yotei originally launched in October 2025 and has already received a major free multiplayer expansion. Legends arrived in March 2026, giving players a cooperative experience that expanded the game beyond its single player campaign.

The next major content update will take a different approach, introducing paid content shortly before the game's first anniversary. The upcoming Complete Edition will include two significant additions called Echoes of Sekigahara and Most Wanted.

Echoes of Sekigahara will expand the story of Ghost of Yotei, giving players new narrative content set within Atsu's adventure. Details about the expansion remain limited, but it will serve as the game's first major story focused DLC.

Most Wanted will offer a different experience, introducing a new single player survival mode centered around repeatable combat runs. The mode is designed to give players additional reasons to return to the game after completing its main story.

Both additions will be released on October 1, 2026. Sony has also confirmed that the Ghost of Yotei Complete Edition will launch on the same day, bundling the base game with the new content.

Existing Ghost of Yotei owners will also have the option to upgrade to the Complete Edition at a lower cost than the story DLC upgrade offered for Ghost of Tsushima in 2021.

With the game's first anniversary approaching, the upcoming expansion and survival mode give Sucker Punch an opportunity to continue building on Ghost of Yotei while providing players with new story content and repeatable gameplay.
