Always fabricate your items before heading out

With Death Stranding 2: On the Beach, a tech tool necklace called “Q-pid” is used to connect isolated facilities and regions across to the Chiral Network. A massive communication network backed by encrypted data that enables the reconnection of collapsed cities and shelters. This allows data to
be shared instantly and resources to be managed.
Sam can unlock new weapons and inventory once a new network has been established.

In a world full of toxic mysteries that Sam lives in,
the only means of survival is through navigation and communication. Chiralium is the foundation
of humanity that links Mexico and Australia. Odradek acts as Sam’s right hand is an important tool in this game. A vital robotic tool that scans
the area for hazards and hidden threats within
this world. It is the only tool that Sam trusts when he carries on new tasks.

Portable Chiral Constructor (PCC):A Multipurpose Tool

Before  Sam starts his journey, plan his routes towards his destination. Odradek will be with you, detecting enemies, measuring the depth
of the river, and identifying loot.

Sam uses PCC to build structures that allow him to conquer the BTs. Charging the vehicle
is critical during his trip, as most of the cargo
is loaded on his car.

PCC builds structures to ease Sam during his missions. Without it, it is difficult to defeat enemies and be resourceful.

Sam Holds The FutureOn His Back

The game is relying on Sam to make it safe to his destinations. During his journey, he carries cargo on his back. The cargo can get heavy up to 100KG on his back. This will affect his movement speed, balance, and visibility. As you walk, you will find items to pick up.

However, picking up everything might not be ideal. Players must find a way to be resourceful and light at the same time. This can be done by tying up his supplies, and vehicles can be used for cargo offloading. Such vehicles include a Tri-Cruiser, Pickup Off-Roader (truck), or Monorail.

The truck is the most efficient in terms of space to store heavy cargo. It also has decent battery life. Players must learn how to stay resourceful without letting the weight of excessive cargo slow them down. Do not risk draining your truck battery.

Different weather and atmospheric changes can damage the cargo. An aerosol spray can be used to eliminate any contamination. Fewer points will be awarded if you deliver damaged or contaminated cargo. Your cargo is the reason Lou is alive.

The Hidden SystemBehind Deliveries

Besides the vehicles, his shoes play an important role as they can wear off, leaving Sam with no shoes and exposing his feet to danger. To avoid it, carry an extra pair with you. It can be attached to Sam’s suit or backpack, whichever is easier.

On top of that, Sam might drop some cargo when he is attacked by enemies, affected by strong winds, heavy currents from the river, or a gate quake “earthquake”. Fast pickup allows Sam to
pick up dropped cargo instantly while moving.

This will affect his balance as the cargo will not be arranged properly, making it difficult for Sam to balance when walking or running. Hence, a tip for you, use the cargo rearrangement option to arrange it; it will make the game easier to play.

The more you carry, the harder it gets to balance. Using PCC will solve the issue of weight as long as you are within the Chiral network. Sam can build structures like a Postbox, where cargo can be stored in private lockers or shared with porters.

Do Not Worry, SamI Will Take Care of Lou

Lou’s story is one of the most important reasons for Sam’s success on his missions. It is the main pillar connecting Death Stranding and Death Stranding 2: On the Beach. It is more important than the equipment itself. Lou is the reason why Sam keeps moving forward against gravity.

In the first version of the game, Sam receives BB-28, also known as “Lou”, to detect BTs. She was treated as a living tool, “cargo”. Lou was supposed to vanish, but Sam had developed a connection with Lou BB-28, refusing to let her go, and chose to live with her near the border of Mexico, raising her as his own daughter.

With Death Stranding 2: On the Beach, Sam was living a normal life with his daughter, as she was no longer just a BB-28. His mindset changed as every cargo he delivered was not only to connect the civilization but also to protect the life he fought for. This offered him comfort as Sam continues to fix the fractured world.

Dead Man's Final Request

The game can be played in many ways and utilizes their weapons to tailor their approach. It is all about the players’ risk tolerance. Choose to be stealth or loud, lethal or non-lethal. It is a game with endless possibilities. More walking until you pick up the off-roader, and the game will change.

This allows more items to be picked along his way. In Episodes 1 to 3, Sam started his walk in Mexico to expand the chiral network, just to get back to Lou Shelter. After Sam completes his delivery, upon his return, he discovers that Freagile had been attacked, and Lou was kidnapped.

Sam has a new crew now: the captain of the ship with his BT cat, a muppet by the name “Dollman” who knows a lot about BTs and Sam’s history, fragile, and Charlie a.k.a ‘the head mannequin’, sponsoring Sam’s missions. Dollman and Lou will join Sam as he expands the netwrok in Australia.
