Rockstar Delays GTA 6 To Simulate Paint Drying
Developers claim observing real-time chemical evaporation is critical for total immersion.
Gamers will now have to wait until 2029 to watch digital paint slowly dry.

Rockstar Games has officially pushed the highly anticipated release of Grand Theft Auto 6 to late 2029, citing a massive breakthrough in their proprietary "Paint Evaporation Engine." Studio executives revealed that earlier builds of the game simply did not accurately simulate the molecular bonding process of acrylic paint on digital drywall. To fix this glaring oversight, an entire team of senior developers has been reassigned to stare at wet walls in a temperature-controlled vault for the next two years.

Fans who have been waiting over a decade for the sequel expressed a mix of exhaustion and grudging respect for the studio's unhinged dedication to realism. Several prominent Twitch streamers have already begun practicing by live-streaming themselves watching actual paint dry in their living rooms, garnering hundreds of thousands of views. Meanwhile, Rockstar's stock price mysteriously surged after the announcement, proving that gamers will literally pay for anything if it has a bold enough font.

To tide over the increasingly restless community, Rockstar announced yet another re-release of Grand Theft Auto V, this time ported exclusively to smart refrigerators and high-end toasters. The “Breakfast Edition” promises 4K resolution Los Santos traffic jams right on your kitchen appliance screen, available for the low price of a monthly subscription fee. Fans are furiously pre-ordering the toaster edition while weeping softly into their hands.
