1: Warframe
Warframe has been around for many years, and it just keeps getting bigger and better. This free-to-play powerhouse makes you feel like a space ninja with an endless arsenal of weapons and abilities. Maps and worlds that
are continuously expanded on, and lore that
you need a PhD to wrap your head around. With new content dropping on the regular,
it keeps both veterans and newcomers hooked and engaged. It is a masterpiece
of modern gaming with no signs of
slowing down.

How is Warframe still flourishing even after a decade?
Warframe launched all the way back in 2013, and it has evolved into something that barely resembles its humble beginnings. You play as a Tenno, piloting Warframes, which are at their core superpowered armor suits.
As you play, you unlock a variety of different weapons and Warframes, each with its own unique set of abilities that range from being useful to inflicting total and utter mayhem.

The game keeps players wanting more with
constant streams of updates, with well over 200 major updates since launch. It pulls new and old players with inciting new warframes to collect, and more weapons to master,
like it is a carrot on a stick.

The loot loop paradox
Here is where this game gets you. The loot is not as simple as picking up guns and armor from the floor. You farm around the clock for blueprints, materials, and mods like you are running a factory line. Want this cool gun?Sure, go run the same mission 49 times
until the parts you need finally drop.
It may sound like torture, but it is weirdly satisfying. The mod system adds layers of customization to your gear that turn it
from meh to a deathstar. Pair that with
space ninja movement, and you have
a recipe for addiction.

2: Helldivers 2
Helldivers 2 is a game that truly understands what co-op shooters are about with its chaos, teamwork, and explosions. It was launched in 2024 and immediately became a viral hit.
Players who had never heard of this series before became die-hard fans.
Not to mention the approach it took to make it a live service game. It portrays your quests and missions as battles that contribute to
an ongoing galactic war, which everybody all around the globe participates in.

For democracy, Helldivers never die!
When Helldivers 2 first launched, it won every gamer’s heart by making friendly fire a core feature. Nothing is more fun than dropping
a 500KG bomb on the heads of your squad and watching their bodies fly high.
This sequel took a different turn from its predecessor. It moved from the isometric view it had into a third–person perspective
that lets you see the chaos and mayhem you are causing. In this shooter, you are fighting three main factions: Terminids, Automatons,
and Illuminates, which were added
post-launch.
The missions are fast-paced, with plenty of explosions, and odds of survival that keep getting lower.

A focused looting experience
Unlike other shooters where you are lost in an open ocean of slightly different weapons, Helldivers 2 keeps its loot extremely focused, which only consists of samples, super credits, medals, and requisition slips.
Farming these resources allows you to unlock new weapons, bonds, and stratagems that are basically toys of destruction you can call in during your missions. And here is when it gets fun. You want a turret? Sure, you got it.
Feeling weak? Here is a mech suit that has got to make you feel better. Are you more of
a boom first, ask questions later type of guy? Sure, have a Hell Bomb.

3: Arc Raiders
The new kid on the block has finally arrived. This game was released in late October 2025, and it did not disappoint. Arc Raiders blends extraction shooter tension with the classic looter shooter mechanics we all know
and love.
Every raid in this game feels meaningful,
and every piece of loot earned feels like
a genuine victory.
A world under siege
In this game, you are labeled as a raider in
a post-apocalyptic world where humans have resorted to living in tunnels underground,
as deadly machines dominate the surface called ARC.
Your job is to scavenge the desolate land
of topside for resources, crafting materials,
and weapons. In this particular video game,
you are never safe. You are constantly in danger from patrolling ARCs, hostile wildlife, and, of course, other raiders.

Are you willing to risk it for the biscuit?
The gameplay loop follows you venturing into topside to collect loot and various resources, then successfully extracting. But what sets this game apart is that if you die, you lose all that you had looted unless it was stored in
a secure stash.
So imagine scavenging for over 30 minutes straight just to get jumped right in front of
the extraction point and losing everything.
This makes each and every expedition feel like a gamble. To increase your chances of survival, the game gives you the option of going in with a team of friends, or if you
are a lone wolf, the game also offers proximity chats.
This allows you to try and make peace with other raiders or try to trade willingly for your life. What keeps this game engaging is that
every adventure will be as unpredictable as the next, with upgrades you acquire through your skill tree and new gear you craft & build,
making your approach in every trip unique based on the types of ARCs you encounter. This may well be the future of this genre.

Pick your poison or play all three
Every game in this list offers something different. Warframe gives you an endless variety of customization, allowing you to
bring your space ninja fantasies to life. Helldivers 2 delivers an exceptional
co-op experience with the fun of
shooting your friends in the head and seeing their bodies rag doll. ARC Raiders represents the fear of the unknown, keeping you on your toes during every passing intense moment. But what all these games have in common
is their ever-growing communities brought
forth by their live service beauty. In the end, whether you like grinding for hours to craft the perfect build, fighting chaotic missions together, or discovering treasures untold, these three games have you covered.
Remember to touch some grass after!
