BEST PC GAMES TO PLAY WITH A CONTROLLER

Keyboard and mouse are the obvious setup when playing a game on a PC, but they
aren’t always the best option. Some games play,

and feel better with a controller.
The analog sticks are considered to be better and smoother for character movement than WASD,

and a lot of games are designed with controllers as the primary input.
Because of that, some games simply feel better with a controller.

Movements feel more fluid, actions map better to triggers and buttons,

and the overall experience can feel closer
to how the developers intended for
the game to be experienced,

especially for games that were originally intended for console-style play.

Soulsborne

The Soulsborne games from FromSoftware are a good example of games that are meant to be played with a controller.

These games are known for their challenging combat and focus heavily on timing, positioning, and precise movement.

Although they are playable with keyboard and mouse on PC, most players prefer using a controller because of how much better
it feels in these games.

The analog sticks make movement and camera control much smoother, especially during combat.

Roll, Attack, Repeat

Souls games rely heavely on camera positions and player movements,
so controlling the camera during constant action is a primary focus.

Players are constantly dodging, backing away to heal, all while trying to keep the boss on screen.

Because of that what input you use ends up being very important, and if you’re a Souls player you know that the hardest boss
in these games is the camera.

Using a controller makes things feel smoother, especially during boss fights.

The analog sticks make movement and camera control easier, and the triggers and buttons fit the play style very well.

Camera control, dodges, attacks, and other game mechanics are all within reach when hell breaks loose. (when things get chaotic)

Sports Games

Similar to other games on this list, sports games were designed to be played on consoles and always feel more.

Responsive with a controller as the layout fits the analog sticks and triggers better than it would a keyboard.

Since movement plays a big role in these games, like in football games, the player
is constantly changing directions whether
it is for dribbling,

passing, or even adjusting their positions
in the field.

Those small movements are a lot easier with an analog stick, and racing games are on the same boat.

Steering through corners and making those small corrections on the track feel much better with sticks and triggers.
